Cultural Enlightenment, Indigenous Responsible Mindset, Connection to ʻĀina
KKI provides educational and professional development workshops and programs for our community. We strive to operate with ʻohana (family) values and an indigenous responsible mindset. We hope to elevate and empower our Maui community and our vulnerable Native Hawaiian community through self identity, cultural relationships and community engagement.
Pihana Kanaka: Providing safe space for healthy community discussions/ engagements to elevate each other in a positive and supportive environment
Kū Mauli: Workshop Series, an intentional template to enlighten the community with culture, protocols, importance of identity and the importance of creating safe responsible space for indigenous people and their teachings.
Lau Kaiao (Professional Development): Providing indigenous responsible mindset training for our Hawaii business and establishments to guide them to shift the culture in which they operate, by providing cultural education and protocols, sense of place understanding and team building.
Aokanaka (Cultural Consultation): to enlighten businesses and organizations with authentic, cultural values and knowledge.
Papalauʻōiwi Polyforestry Consultation: Provide Cultural insight, consultation, designs and expertise in our farming and agricultural sector. Also provide webinars and workshops in relations to farming.
Kālai Papahana (Curriculum and Program Development): Working with schools, businesses and organizations to build culturally appropriate curriculums and programming.
Hoʻoulu ʻŌpio (Youth Education Programs and Curriculum): Integrating Hawaiian Culture and Modern Tools and Technologies to provide Hawaiian Cultural Learning Opportunities for our youth. Facilitating and Hosting these educational programs in a safe space. Collaborating with community organizations to advance our education efforts.

Providing a platform for Speaking the importance of perspective and experience in both the english language and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. A moʻolelo (talk story) space to bring in friends, family and community members to share about the world around us and widening the spectrum of topics discussed.
